Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Ultrabook Review

The first generations of Asus Zenbook were introduced by the company back in 2011. The device was very reliable and well accepted by the consumers; in fact the Zenbooks could make distance themselves from their competitors. Today the new generation is coming under the name of Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A, the brand new models even set new standards in its class.

Priced for about $1,400 (Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A-AB71), the second generation of Asus Zenbook series equipped with Intel Core i7-3517UM 1.7 GHz, 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM. The entry level version is also available with the Intel Core i5-3317U 1.7 GHz.



Asus Zenbook UX31 Ultrabook Reviewed

Asus Zenbook UX31 delivers true ultrabook experience. Asus is using its brand new series Asus Zenbook to enter the relatively immature ultrabook market from the beginning. Let’s find out whether the slim Asus 13 inch laptop with a slim housing that was constructed entirely from a single block of aluminum is worth for its price.

The Asus Zenbook UX31 came within a week after the Aspire S3. Back then, it was available in two sizes: the 11.6-inch called Asus Zenbook UX21 and the Asus Zenbook UX31 with 13.3.

This test is using the UX31-DH52, which costs about $1099. Another model, the UX31-DH53, provides double SSD capacity and costs about $300 more. Otherwise the two models are essentially the same.


Asus 13.3 Inch Laptop in Review - Asus U32U

Ultrabook is a great mobile device but the price is quiet expensive for most potential buyers, thanks to AMD yet another alternative to choose from: Based on the APU, the E-series has a wide range of affordable ultrabook-like laptop, and one of them is the Asus U32U. 

The compact Asus 13.3 inch model quipped with the fast 1.65 GHz dual-core E-450, impressive 6 GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. A special highlight, however, is the strong 8-cell battery, which should bring the Asus laptop very long running time. 

With a starting price of less than $500 the Asus U32U is great alternative to the more expensive ultrabooks.

ASUS Zenbook Review: ASUS N56VZ-ES71

Asus Zenbook’s journey continues, the manufacturer presents the ASUS N56VZ-ES71 as a multimedia laptop with the latest Ivy Bridge architecture. The entire design is being revised. A special highlight of this series is an external subwoofer from Bang & Olufsen, which is designed to improve the sound quality. 

The ASUS N56VZ-ES71 sports a fast Intel Core i7 3610QM with four cores. The graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GT 650M with 2 GB of memory. This combination, along with 8 GB of memory, is ready to run the latest games and HD video in high performance. 

In order for the enjoyment of games and movies, more and more laptop manufacturers are equipping their product with a good speaker system. Asus Laptop, like its predecessor, thought it a step further and provides the Zenbook with a small external subwoofer to complement the mostly middle height and heavy sounds of the laptop. The technology comes from the Danish manufacturer Bang & Olufsen.
